Amber was born on December 11th of 1983 to Debra Alman and Craig Shively. She was born with Cardiomyopathy. Its a heart condition. She wasnt supposed to live that long but her strong will kept her going. She was in and out of hospitals all her life. She lived longer than the doctors said she would. But on Easter morning of 1994 we got page that they had a heart for her. We all thought she would go on to live her life normally instead of in pain. The next morning we got the news we hoped we would have never heard. Mom and Dad came home to tell us she was gone. That was the day that I died to. Inside I felt like i lost everything. I was 8 years old then and it was hard to understand. But God does everything for a reason and I understand that now. My daughter Keyara was born on Amber's birthday and she looks just like Amber. So in a way I feel like God has given my sister back to us. She will be in our mind and in our hearts forever.
